Plenary Indulgence for the end of the Year of Grace, 2009

From the Sacred Penitentiary Apostolic, August 10th, 1936:

"The Faithul who, to give Thanks to God for blessings received, devoutly recite the Amborsian Hymn, Te Deum laudamus, are granted a Plenary Indulgence with the usual conditions with the addition of Confession and Holy Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father."

This may either be sung or recited publicly, that is, two or more people.

We have much to be grateful for in our little community, such as our Pastor, Father Fitz-Henry; our Chaplain, Father Milich; the Mission Parish Staff; our Schola, our Servers, everyone who helps to make the Latin Mass our island of Grace in the week, and for our Bishop, His Excellency, Richard Garcia. may the Bishop be granted may long and Blessed years.

If you do wish to give it a try and chant it, at the very end is a video from the Gregorian Schola of Milan. This appropriate, as St. Ambrose was the Archbishop of Milan. Giovanni Vianini, the Precentor, or Cantor of this video does sing the full Te Deum, as the very end is a series of petitions.

Te Deum laudamus
Te Deum laudamus:
te Dominum confitemur.
Te aeternum Patremomnis terra veneratur.
Tibi omnes Angeli;
tibi caeli et universae Potestates;
Tibi Cherubim et Seraphim
incessabili voce proclamant:
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus,
Dominus Deus Sabaoth.
Pleni sunt caeli et terra
maiestatis gloriae tuae.
Te gloriosus Apostolorum chorus,
Te Prophetarum laudabilis numerus,
Te Martyrum candidatus laudat exercitus.
Te per orbem terrarum
sancta confitetur Ecclesia,
Patrem immensae maiestatis:
Venerandum tuum verum et unicum Filium;
Sanctum quoque Paraclitum Spiritum.
Tu Rex gloriae, Christe.
Tu Patris sempiternus es Filius.
Tu ad liberandum suscepturus hominem,
non horruisti Virginis uterum.
Tu, devicto mortis aculeo,
aperuisti credentibus regna caelorum.
Tu ad dexteram Dei sedes,
in gloria Patris.
Iudex crederis esse venturus.
Te ergo quaesumus,
tuis famulis subveni:
quos pretioso sanguine redemisti.
Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis in gloria numerari.
Salvum fac populum tuum,
Domine, et benedic hereditati tuae.
Et rege eos,
et extolle illos usque in aeternum.
Per singulos dies benedicimus te;
Et laudamus Nomen tuum in saeculum,
et in saeculum saeculi.
Dignare, Domine, die isto sine peccato nos custodire.
Miserere nostri domine,
miserere nostri.
Fiat misericordia tua,
Domine, super nos,
quemadmodum speravimus in te.
In te, Domine, speravi:
non confundar in aeternum.
